Inside our Classrooms
Cloud Room: Two-Year-Old Classroom
Our two-year-old program is called The Cloud Room. The emphasis is on transition and joining a group. For many kids, this will be their first experience in a classroom, away from the one-on-one supervision of a parent or guardian, and forming new bonds with peers and teachers. Teachers are sympathetic to this novel and exciting moment in a child's life and support.
Children will learn to share resources and their attention with others via daily routines and activities. An emerging curriculum that offers students several hands-on projects and experiences directs teachers. Student progress is supported through sensory investigations that involve the entire body. Exercises that are enriching include yoga, neighborhood walks, and music. Children will take part in neighborhood walks and learn about their surroundings. Teachers inspire and assist students in enhancing their verbal and adaptive living abilities and independence.
Desert Room: Three-Year-Old Classroom
Our three-year-old program is called The Desert Room. As they continue to promote respect for belonging to a group, the teachers will build on the pupils' emerging social abilities. Students will go deeper into their investigations as themes of children's interest in the Desert Room come to light. Teachers will support students' developing skills and attention spans as well as ideas and theories that will be looked at from many perspectives.
Children will also participate in sensory-rich activities like group meetings, water play, center time, and circle time. Yoga, music, and local excursions are among the enrichment activities. There are many opportunities for social connection and education in daily activities. Throughout the school day, teachers encourage kids to make their own decisions. Each child will benefit from this ability as they get ready for preschool.
The Jungle Classroom and The Ocean Classroom
(Pre-Kindergarten)
Our Pre-K for All students are engaged in their education and gain knowledge through play, exploration, and interactions with peers and teachers. Teachers and students work together to establish a classroom atmosphere where children learn to think critically, are motivated to solve issues, and think creatively. Additionally, our kids will learn how to function independently and interact well with others. Teachers in prekindergarten work with your kids to foster their curiosity, confidence, and development of the skills necessary for a successful future.
Classroom instructors gain knowledge about the students in charge through age-appropriate evaluations for the students in their class, child observation and listening, and two-way communication with families. Teachers use this information with learning objectives in all of the Prekindergarten Foundation for the Common Core's domains. Through this continual cycle, teachers can address students' knowledge and skills throughout the year. In our on-site playground, kids play outside every day. Pre-K for all helps all kids build the information, abilities, and attitudes necessary for success in kindergarten and beyond.
